Since 1998, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) has been gradually proceeding Green Learning Room project, under 3 principles of Demand Side Management. Energy-saving buildings, energy-saving appliances and positive habit in saving energy are the main themes that EGAT used for promoting in efficiency saving and consuming energy. Accordingly, EGAT founded Green Learning Room in primary and secondary schools in order to encourage positive habits in energy consuming among children. Green Learning Room is used as a learning source. By concept of learning by doing, children can learn by using experimental equipments in the room. Nowadays, there are 414 schools that joined the Green Learning Room project. There are more than 100,000 children who have studied in Green Learning Room each year. Within 20 years, there are more than 1,000,000 children throughout the country that have already been educated. Later, since 2008, there has been developing strategies for enhancing attitudes to many other projects which are more focusing in energy management in schools.
